AirStar Arizona, Inc. provides three major service categories:
Assisted Medical Flights, Case Management for Aero-Medical
Private Flights and Companion Flights. These
services are offered both domestically and internationally.
Assisted Medical Services on Commercial Flights
Our number one goal is to transport clients
to a destination of choice in the most comfortable and cost efficient
manner, with services provided by an Registered Nurse, Licensed
Practical Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistant or Personal Care
Assistant depending on the level of client care required. Until this time, individuals
with medical disabilities, including oxygen, gastric tubes, IV's, incontinence,
and those needing total transfer assistance, have needed to utilize private
flights. We specialize in taking moderate acuity clients on regular commercial
flights to decrease costs.
Aero-Medical Private Flights
Aero-Medical private flights are arranged on
FAA licensed Lear Jets or King Air Prop Planes. A four-person
team inclusive of a Pilot, Co-pilot, and two Medical Air Specialists
fly with the client. A Physician may also fly with, if warranted.
Cardiac, pulmonary, hemodynamic therapy, IV's, feeding tubes,
and ACLS equipment are included on the plane. AirStar Arizona, Inc. does
not provide private air ambulance services. We provide Case Management
for this type of flight and have strong partnerships that can provide this service
domestically and/or internationally.
Companion Flights
Companion flights are made for a variety of
people. These
clients have no medical needs and are primarily independent of
personal needs assistance. Situations which precipitate
a flight of this manner are:
A minor child escorted from one parent/guardian/relative
to another, including flights that are restricted by airline
policies such as the requirement for a non-stop flight from departure
city to destination, or minimum age restrictions. We will
accompany your young child(ren) and act as a liaison for custody
transfers, vacation and holiday exchanges, etc.
An adult or member of an elderly person's
family may choose this service if they feel, due to age, they or
their family member should have an escort to help them deal with
the confusion of negotiating airport terminals, airline and/or
airplane transfers, luggage, etc. This provides a level
of comfort for our client and/or their family which decreases the
levels of stress that can be felt by all during travel times.
